Message from Councillor Tim Outhit

Many in our community will find it hard to believe that this year will mark the 40th Anniversary of Bedford Days! This exciting and beloved tradition continues to thrive and evolve. It continues to engage new and long-time residents of District 16 of all ages.

It is particularly exciting that the anniversary occurs during the 150th birthday celebration of our nation! As a result, you will see additional events and some unique decorating initiatives in our community this summer. They are designed to highlight and celebrate both of these significant events.

On your behalf, I thank and congratulate the outstanding committee of Halifax Regional Municipality staff and community volunteers that continue to make Bedford Days possible.

I also want to thank the sponsors that support Bedford Days. This celebration would not be possible without their support.

Happy Bedford Days & Canada Day 150 to all!

Councillor Tim Outhit
District 16, Bedford Wentworth

grandfather and his favourite grandson – as they recall the olden days of
the town with its military, industrial and vacation haven roots.
Hear little-known stories about Bonfires on the Basin, and the town’s
famous residents. Hear about the disasters and celebration that define our
town. Learn about Bedford’s fascinating past, like never before, during
Canada 150.

together the film through the assistance of the Bedford Business
